Dorchester Board of Trade
President's Corner: Letter from Charles Hollins
To all Members and Friends:
The DBOT is looking forward to an exciting year of growth and expansion.
The Board of Directors is meeting on February 10, 2010 to review an action plan that will build on our membership benefit portfolio, take advantage of communication technologies [including social-networking] and strengthen our effectiveness in the business related public policy arena.
Our mission not only bring businesses together, but it draws on the collective and diverse industries represented within our membership in ways that equips us to increase our network of valuable and relevant resources for business growth.
Please invite a business neighbor near you and plan to attend our upcoming general membership meeting scheduled for March 24, 2010. The membership meeting will be held at the Phillips Old Colony House, 780 Morrissey Blvd. At this meeting, you’ll hear about the 2010 activity schedule and have an opportunity to provide input into the planning process for the DBOT.
Our purpose is to promote, encourage and strengthen businesses in the town of Dorchester. With your support, we’ll accomplish this purpose.
I’m sure that you will find the content of the March 24, 2010 meeting valuable to your business.
I sincerely look forward to meeting you and, more importantly, working with you over the next year.
Best, |
