Dorchester Board of Trade
President's Corner: Letter from Charles Hollins
To all Members and Friends:
Why are we energized? It’s fairly axiomatic… We are experiencing a very steady influx of new business members, reconnecting with former members and observing an increase in the business industry diversity of our membership. Our committees, made up of business members, have been conscientiously laboring to increase member benefit opportunities and resources for 2010. Stay tuned to www.dorchesterboardoftrade.com and read our regular membership email updates for upcoming events, useful information and much more.
At our March 24th meeting we presented attendees with our renewed vision and introduced the business members who have accepted the charge to serve their fellow Dorchester business partners as DBOT Board of Directors. Also, we received invaluable survey input from members that is being integrated into our 2010 event and activity planning.
As a volunteer organization working for your business, the DBOT has been working diligently to live its mission by delivering expanded business network opportunities, front seat access to elected officials and contemporary workshops focusing on topics that promote business health in Dorchester. It is already a very exciting and promising year of growth and expansion. Thank you for being an integral part of the Dorchester business community and the DBOT.
Don’t miss the May 19, 2010 Luncheon with Mayor Thomas Menino. In addition to hearing a keynote address from one of the most dedicated Mayors in the history of the city of Boston, you’ll also hear about upcoming DBOT events, as well as a brief testimonial from a former Scholarship Awards recipient.
If you haven’t already registered for the May 19th event, please do so by clicking on the May 19th - Annual luncheon event with Mayor Menino. We encourage you to invite your business partners to register and be a part of the annual luncheon.
No matter where your business is located in Dorchester, you are part of the DBOT family of businesses and we welcome you.
Best, |
